I Meet Jim Wallis


Jim Wallis is one of my heroes, although I am sure he would shutter at that description. Jim Wallis, Brian McLaren, Jim Henderson, and my friends & professors at Wesley Theological Seminary have a lot to do with why I was finally able to feel the love of Christ.


Jim Wallis is perhaps best-known as the author of God's Politics: Why the right gets it wrong and the left doesn't get it. (Now out in paperback.) Jim also founded Sojourners magazine. I volunteered to help Sojourners at the registration table for a recent event called Pentecost 2007. In doing so, I was able to meet Jim Wallis for the first time. I cried.
