For parts of last week I was able to attend the Sister 2 Sister Retreat produced by Ebenezer AME of Ft. Washington, MD. Several of my seminary friends attend Ebenezer and they told me this retreat "should NOT be missed."

They were right! My friend told me of course there would be mostly "sistahs" there but they are trying to reach out to all women. After picking up my registration packet I ran into my friend and I told her, "Honey, your out reach isn't reaching out too well." But it did not matter one bit.

I did not get to attend as much of the retreat as I would have liked, but attended as much as I was able to. I am developing a very strong affinity for the AME style of worship. It is so NOT the Catholic Mass of my upbringing. By that I do not mean it is superior, I simply mean it works better for me. I am learning to let my spirit OUT, let my body MOVE, let my lips SING. It is awesome.
