Dan Lungren, You Disgust Me

Back in the day (late 1970s - early 1980s), Dan Lungren was seen as the heir apparent to the conservative Californian Republican legacy of Ronald Reagan. These days, Dan Lungren can be seen as just another ill-informed, mean-spirited James Dobson-type Republican.

Dan Lungren would never have been elected to Congress in 1978 if not for the help of the local young Republicans and college Republicans, many of whom were gay or lesbian. Yet Dan Lungren has the audacity to say that the hate crime legislation passed by the House "could lead to inadvertent legal protections for groups like the North American Man-Boy Love Association, or NAMBLA, which he said advocates for illegal sexual contact between adults and juveniles."

Dear Dan Lungren,

HOMOSEXUALITY does not equal PEDAPHILIA!
